Regulation, AI, and Supply Chain Resilience to Take Centre Stage at CPHI Americas 2026
Industry leaders are set to gather in Philadelphia to address fluctuating policy shifts, supply chain risks, and accelerating biologics investment across the global industry.
CPHI Americas is returning for this year's edition in Philadelphia from June 2–4, bringing together industry leaders for a conference program focused on regulatory change, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation in biologics and advanced therapies. Organized by Informa Markets as part of its global CPHI portfolio, the annual event is expected to draw stakeholders from across the pharmaceutical supply chain from CDMOs and biotech firms, to suppliers and service providers (1).
The 2026 agenda has been formulated to respond to mounting industry pressures, such as those from policy uncertainty and digital transformation to changing drug development models. As companies continually adapt to shifting U.S. policy, regulatory change will be a central focus, as will risk‑based decision‑making, with several sessions dedicated to regulatory strategy and risk management.
Additionally, this year’s event will focus on the continued momentum in biologics and advanced therapies. With both these trends having attracted significant investment in recent years, speakers from organizations including IQVIA, Morgan Stanley, BioLabs, and Epivax will focus on funding dynamics, innovation ecosystems, and the future of cell and gene therapy in the U.S. market. Supply chain resilience remains another priority amid ongoing geopolitical and economic pressures, with industry leaders from Bayer and Dr. Reddy’s ready to share strategies to strengthen procurement and external manufacturing networks.
Digitalization and cybersecurity are also high on the agenda. A session featuring the U.S. Secret Service will address ransomware and supply chain vulnerabilities to reflect the growing concern over threats to pharmaceutical infrastructure. Additional sessions will examine AI integration in drug discovery, with a focus on how machine learning is accelerating target identification and improving clinical development efficiency.
“CPHI Americas brings together leaders throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain to address the challenges shaping drug development and manufacturing,” said Sarah Griffin, Event Manager at CPHI Americas, in a press release (1). “This year’s agenda focuses on the areas having the greatest impact on the sector, including regulatory shifts, AI, and biologics, providing attendees with practical insight they can apply within their organizations.”
CPHI Americas 2026 is expected to draw thousands of pharmaceutical professionals, including CDMO leaders, outsourcing executives, regulatory specialists, investors and technology providers. The event offers access to commercially influential participants representing 108 countries, while the wider CPHI community reaches more than 470,000 pharma professionals worldwide.
